Genie Language Immersion - From March 19 to 25, 2025

I'm a retired business owner, a lifelong learner and I can't get enough of France and French culture. Whilst working in education I taught English as a Second Language; I transitioned later to teacher training and educational consulting. Later I working in industry recruiting accountants, many of whose first languages were not English. In short, I'm a discerning judge of language teachers!

Studying French via French Immersion with the delightful and highly skilled Hélène Vaurs- Lemaitre in Lyon was one of the best learning experiences in my long learning journey. Héléne delivered an absolutely individualised French learning program designed around things I might need to communicate about and understand. Her lessons are NOT just more of what one experiences in French classes delivered in the classroom or online. Hélène made learning such fun, yet simultaneously set high but realistic standards for me. We explored areas of Lyon which I would have missed or not understood the significance of. I loved living with her family and immersing myself in French language. I hope to return and spend another week with Hélène next year. If I can I'll stay longer.
